Israel Government
Design system
We are proud to present the Israeli Government Design System. Recently, we fine-tuned the entire system to perfection and unveiled it to the design community. Our goal is to empower teams to swiftly and efficiently design government services, ensuring consistency across all products and services.
Challenges
The project's main objective was to create a design system that could be easily adopted by all participants involved in creating digital products and services for the Israeli government.
Ensuring Consistency
With the diverse range of products and services offered by the Israeli government, creating a unified design system that could maintain consistency across all products and services was a significant challenge.
Dealing with Cross-Functional Teams
Creating a design system that could be easily adopted by all participants involved in creating digital products and services for the Israeli government was a complex task.
Agile system with responsive components
The team utilized Figma's built-in tools
for creating auto layout and responsive components, making it easier to create consistent designs quickly.

OUR Approach – Atomic Design Principles
The team used the atomic design principles to create a modular design system that could be easily customized and scaled as required.
Our solutions
To ensure that the design system will easily accessible to all participants involved in creating digital products and services for the Israeli government, the team made the design system available for download as a Figma file, in figma community. This made it easy for designers and developers to use the design system's components and templates when building products.
Setting up clear Guidelines
The team set up guidelines for the design system to ensure consistency across all products
and services, available for download as a Figma file, in figma community.
Create Dynamic Components
The team utilized Figma's built-in tools for creating auto layout and responsive components, making it easier to create consistent designs quickly.
Manage multiple components from one place.
By keeping design elements consistent through master components, we made sure the system had a unified look. Handling all the different styles in one place, made updates and changes easy, helping us maintain a cohesive design style.

Significance
The Israeli design system has had a significant impact on the Israeli government's digital products and services:
Improved Design Consistency
The Israeli government design system has greatly improved design consistency, delivering a unified and polished look across projects. Standardized elements and styles ensure a cohesive user interface, enhancing both visual appeal and user experience.
Increased Design Velocity
With a consistent set of elements and styles readily available, designers can work more efficiently and swiftly across various projects. This uniformity not only accelerates the design process but also ensures a cohesive and professional visual language.
Increased Efficiency
Designers can now navigate projects with increased efficiency, focusing more on innovation and problem-solving rather than repetitive design tasks. The Israeli government design system is providing a structured and accessible foundation that enhances the overall productivity of design teams.
